Brilliant player and a great attitude, would love to see him stay as long as he wants to - he'll know when it is time to pack in and we must respect that but if you are feeling ok George than please get that pen out and stay with us :eusa10:

If it was just about George, I don't think it would be a problem. But he has 5 kids to consider and he's already said they aren't seeing enough of their grandparents. Last year, he'd already given notice to their school and made arrangements back home before he changed his mind.

Still hope he stays though!

Me too :)
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Can we take it from the defening silence on the subject and also the fact that Iain Thornley is hoping to take over from him that this was just yet another rumour?

Physically he's never looked better IMO and he's still one of if not the best centre in the League.
I agree. He looks better this year than last.

It would certainly help given the experience we are losing even if he didn't start every game.
I think the reason is that George is giving it everything because he knows it is his last season and he wants to go out on a high.

I hope he stays,he's just been brilliant for us and he will
know himself whether he is physically and mentally able to carry on
His age shouldn't even be mentioned.

If he decides to go I'm sure we all wish him Godspeed
and thank him from the bottom of our hearts for what he
has done for us.

My impression was re GC,was he would be played in a selective way.ie matches like Wakey would be ideal to give George a break,a chance maybe to recuperate.

Phil Wilkinson said he spoke to George and asked if this is definitely his last season. He said he still hasn't decided!
