It seems to me that the older certain posters get, on this forum, the more immature their posts can be.
There will always be differing opinions, that's normal, but the name calling and gradual deterioration of threads is becoming boring. Many, many posters have left this forum because of the increased animosity in peoples posts.
The only reason I come on here is to keep abreast of what's going on and any rumours. Yet the majority of threads always seem to deteriorate in some form or another.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

It's called bullying and it occurs in certain quarters because that person thinks they are far more knowledgeable and superior to other people. I personally think that it is a power thing and having failed in their vocation they get their buzz by being idiots,Sutty wrote:It seems to me that the older certain posters get, on this forum, the more immature their posts can be.

I think that's about as fair an appraisal as I've read so far. I suppose the only direct way to compare Smith and Lulu is to compare Smith now to Lulu when we signed him.God wrote:Back on topic regards Smith, his kicking game imo is the best weapon he has.
Against Cas he was turning Owen around time and time again, something Leeds didnt do and almost paid the piper, letting a 34 point lead go.
However i cant help but feel hes not as slick as Tommy or as quick taking the line on etc. His defence is nowhere near as good and stuck out like a sore thumb on occasion getting pushed back even though tbf he stuck to his man (this would create problems for ruck control).
Im not saying he is a bad player as clearly he isnt, but im not 100% confident in his abilities atm. His link up play against Cas wasnt the best and Sam was easily bottled up. Yes he can improve and yes i will look forward to his improvement but at this moment in time im not sure.
He needs to loose at least a stone as he looked massive, bigger than Finch, but im sure Bitcom will sort that out.
IMO Lulu was not a great player when we first had him playing but he got better and better to the psycho he is now. I personally feel that Smith is a much better player than Lulu was when he started at Wigan and I have high hopes that as he develops he'll be as good as Tommy. Smith is also a couple of years younger than Tommy and has time to develop. I'm still very positive but will always be sad to see Tommy go.

As said, Tommy is a freak when it comes to putting the hits in. Remember that tackle on Tiramasu or whatever he was called! I like Smith, but I doubt SL will see another player like Tommy for a long long time!

It used to be that posters on line were about 60 on average and sometimes if waiting for breaking news 3-400 on line with a waiting list to get in. Now it rarely reaches double figures. A knowledgable group rewrites the post above and claims it is from their own source. Opinions and alternative theory must be scorned until the poster leaves.Sutty wrote:It seems to me that the older certain posters get, on this forum, the more immature their posts can be.
