Apparently he has signed for Preston Grasshoppers RU club now his drugs ban is over.
I wonder who was the controlling factor to him going there??

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Didn't he dime out the Hull officials who told him the stuff he was taking was OK with the authorities?Panchitta Marra wrote:Can anyone explain why Gaz Hock got a 2 year drugs ban yet Gleeson gets only 18 months.
Re: Martin Gleeson
yeah I think he got a plea bargain, but its nonsense anyway that recreational potentially performance decreasing drugs get looked at the same way as those that aid performance illegally.Kittwazzer wrote:Didn't he dime out the Hull officials who told him the stuff he was taking was OK with the authorities?Panchitta Marra wrote:Can anyone explain why Gaz Hock got a 2 year drugs ban yet Gleeson gets only 18 months.

The RFL brushed that one under the table! There were very few casualties even though MG was incensed at the role others had in his downfall.Kittwazzer wrote:Didn't he dime out the Hull officials who told him the stuff he was taking was OK with the authorities?Panchitta Marra wrote:Can anyone explain why Gaz Hock got a 2 year drugs ban yet Gleeson gets only 18 months.

Two reasons for the slight leniancy:
- He co-operated with the WADA -like RFL inquiry.
- The substance in question was a minor ingrediant in a sports drink and had only recently been added to the banned list

Well if that's the case, I'd say he was bloody hard done to. Especially on top of everything else he was having to deal with at that time!weststand-rich wrote:Two reasons for the slight leniancy:
