Both the Warriors and the Latic's are only allowed to have the full capacity of 25,138 if all seats are sold as reserved.

According to the DW Stadium website, the capacity is now set at 25,168 which means that with the reductions in the North and South Stands due to unreserved seating the maximum allowed would be 24,084.

Wigan Warriors moved into the then JJB Stadium in 1999. The stadium is an all seater arena with a seating capacity of 25,138 (this was increased from 25,004 in December 2005 following building work), and it was built by Alfred McAlpine and completed in August 1999.

The Stadium was been built to the latest health and safety specifications and complies with the Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds (Green Guide).

Seating Capacity:
Boston (East) Stand - 8206 seats and 24 disabled spaces
Springfield (West) Stand - 6072 seats and 24 disabled spaces
South Stand - 5378 seats and 21 disabled spaces
North Stand - 5392 seats and 21 disabled spaces

In addition:
16 trackside disabled spaces are available in the Springfield Stand
Disabled Toilets and access ramps in all stands

So that is 25,154 then!

Interesting comment from WW they can't use the full capacity unless it is all reserved seating.

I don't think I've ever seen these used at one of our games, I could be wrong.

Have heard that about the unreseved seating being H & S issues :conf:

But how long has a capacity sell-out been only 23861, get a grip Wigan. Where does this talk of unreserved seating reducing the capacity come from? Every ticket I've bought for any match this season has a specified seat number on it, the screen doesn't take up any seats and in any case it is about time they shifted it to the south east corner then the sun isn't shining right on it.

It doesn't matter which stand, all tickets will have a seat number & row on them for unreserved seating, it's the same at all clubs.
