Wigan Look to Hull KR Clash

Post by josie andrews »

After the excitement and buzz about reaching Wembley and the 2013 Tetley's Challenge Cup Final Wigan Warriors now turn their attentions back to Super League this week and the visit of Hull KR to the DW Stadium, this Friday night, 8pm kick off.

At the weekly pre-match press conference on Tuesday Head Coach Shaun Wane confirmed a couple of slight knocks from the Semi-Final win over London. Gil Dudson has a slight hip injury and Ben Flower a slight hamstring strain but both are expected to fit for the visit of the Robins as is prop Epalahame Lauaki.

Speaking earlier today Shaun Wane said;

"Everyone is in a good mood and we have reviewed the London game and the lads have been really honest in areas where we can improve.

"We now have three Super League games and that is where our concentrations are now focussed beginning this Friday against Hull KR.

"We now have alot of Front Rowers fit, we have Epalahame Lauaki fit again and everyone's place is now up for grabs.The players have three games to book their place in our Cup Final side and they all understand that the best will play and all the players will drive each other on over the next few weeks."

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
