Week 1 is a warmup game
Week 2 should be against a pretty poor side (although Saints would be a bit tricky)
Week 3 is where things really start - win this and you are in the final
I was looking at what LEEDS did last season coming from 5th and winning the Grand Final. As I don't have a cristal ball I don't know who will win it this year, but you are right a team finishing in the top four only needs to win two matches. I was just making the point the farce of having meaningless matches is the fault of the present system where any team from the top eight could be crowned champions
So in the last month fo the seaosn 8 teams can still win the title and you're saying that at least 5 of them are viable shots for it. The Premier League season is in its first month and only 3 of its 20 teams are being discussed as likely winners. The Scottish Premiership is a foregone conclusion already. Which is a more exciting scenario?
I'm not saying the current playoff system is the right one, even if the NRL has copied it. But to not have playoffs would be worse in my opinion.
Well done to our young Warriors, there was no way Childs /RFL was gonna let a bunch of whippersnappers beat a SL team!!!
What a game they put to Hull? So very proud of our lads.
The way the Hull supporters were singing leaving the ground was ridiculous! They were celebrating as if they'd hammered the first team
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
