I sincerely hope so because our half backs are ineffective without him!

I worry about our defence more when he is not there, but we must not play him if he is not 100% fit. Lose to WARRINGTON will be hard to take but is it the end of our season! we need Lockers more than ever but we must not rush him back to soon and risk him being badly injured. I know I have been going on about our poor defence but the season has only just started and our long term plan must be to be at our best in the play offs I dont expect the double or even Grand Final win this season but getting to the semi's is as much we can hope for this year

A neck injury the last I heard :(
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

He does seem to get a new injury a couple of days after being announced he is playing. Are the club covering up a more serious longer term issue? Its starting to look like it.

Here's my conspiracy theory...
Last year all of Sam, Lockers and mac began to suffer from debilitating injuries.
In Sam's case, his ability to accelerate and leap away from people went about halfway through the year, and hasn't returned if the World Cup and NRL games are anything to go by. So, we might have seen the best of him (I hope not for his and the game's sake).
In Lockers' and Mac's case, what can they do? They both vastly increase our chances to win big games, and are probably irreplaceable. Which makes this year a really delicate balancing act - you can only pick and choose games in the second half of the season once you've won enough in the first half.
Looking at succession, signing Bateman (and, if it had to be one in, one out, letting Hansen go) makes perfect sense as the player most likely in SL to grow into the dominant 13 role we've had since Hanley moved there. For Mac, my guess is Sam Powell was choice 1, with one of Logan or Williams as plan C/D.
They can't let on to the world how serious this is, but it'd be good if they didn't keep suggesting players will play if they actually have no chance of doing so.

don't think we will see much of lockers this yr ,if he plays Thursday you can bet he ll be missing for the game after,if the management know he s injured badly then why not replace him close season they pulled enough money in

I said this on Friday when I heard the team. Lockers must have took some hammer over the years and with it the greater difficulty in recovering from injury.

I think lockers needs to do what's right for his future outside the game. His body is now looking like it can't take the rigours of week in and week out action. He will be payed in the bigger games and not payed in the smaller games.

We need to manage the transition that means deciding who out of Burke, Farrell, Bateman et al will take that number 13 when he goes.

Plan now and it will pay us back later

Sad to admit it, but I've thought this for some time now.
