Best Union convert- Agree with Inga but Scott Quinell would have run him close had he stayed and lets not forget Frano
==Quinell didn't get to grips with RL couldn't call him a convert.

Fair enough. It just seems that new threads eg; worst player/ kicker etc are being repeated on a regular basis
Repeating LOL That's not going to stop users of an internet forum though is it? It's what internet forums are for!

Best - Chicken George. A rare gem that improved with age.
Worst - Denis Moran. A bad influence at all levels of humanity.

Wasn't Billy Boston and Jim Sullivan 'union converts'?
I'll stick with either of those as best union converts, worst overseas signing, Greg Florimo (cost wise) must be up there, best overseas signings, so many, Brian Norgren (294 apps, 312 tries), Brett Kenny & John Ferguson in 1985 had a great influence on winning the C Cup that helped kick start the next few years, if you count off the field 'signings' in the mix we must include Graham Lowe & John Monie both brought so much professionalism to the club, this is the problem being a Wigan fan, too much great history to chose from !!

Nobody has mentioned Steve 'The Zip Zip Man' Ella as one of the best Stand Offs we signed for the following 1985/86 season after Kenny.

Outstanding player and I will always remember him ripping Leeds apart at Headingley when we won 28-6.

Billy B has to be the best onion convert I've ever seen in the hoops.

Vaealiki has to be the worst simply because of the money he was reportedly paid.

Trent Barrett has to be one of the worst, due to him not performing like he was expected to and he was also Leon Pryces bitch, also Matty Johns should be up there as well

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I thought Trent Barrett was awesome for us in a team in transition. He was robbed of the man of steel award by Roby who played 90% of his games that season starting on the bench. Trent would be awesome in our current set up.
