Hull KR chairman Neil Hudgell and Hull FC counterpart Adam Pearson have both been fined and warned about their future conduct after criticising the RFL's disciplinary process.
Hudgell was found guilty of publicly criticising the sport's disciplinary process and questioning the integrity of members involved in the process.
The KR chairman recently launched a stinging attack on the RFL's Match Review Panel, branding them "clueless and "not fit for purpose" after Justin Poore was handed a three-game ban.
Warning
Hudgell was fined £1,000 and issued with a warning as to his future behaviour but has appealed the decision and the RFL says a date for a hearing will be set shortly.
Pearson was handed the same fine and warning for criticising the sport's disciplinary process and also attempting to ridicule the role of a tribunal chairman.
He accepted the punishment after he was found guilty of improper conduct by "engaging in conduct which is prejudicial to the interests of the game".

RFL fine and warn Hull chairmen Pearson and Hudgell
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Dare to question the Führer and you will be sent to the Russian front

Aye, it's beginning to look like that.
The RFL seem to have a catch-all "bringing the game into disrepute", which is a great way of stifling genuine critiscm.

The Führer was a liberal by comparison. This is more North Korea. Next thing, Kim Il Wood will be banning any player who isn't 30 stone and can't eat a pie and score a try at the same time!medlocke wrote:Dare to question the Führer and you will be sent to the Russian front

Do the RFL not realise the utter contempt Rugby League people in this country have for them?
If Pearson and Hudgell made the greatest effort to bring the game into disrepute they couldn't do half as good a job that the RFL do themselves!
No wonder SL club's chairmen want a detachment from the RFL and be able run their own SL commercial and business side of Rugby League.

Sooner the better. I hate the way the game, the Clubs and, most importantly, the paying Fans have become subservient to the RFL.

Every dictatorship knows the contemptness its held in to negate its effect it punishes people who complains to keep others quiet.Wiganer Ted wrote:Do the RFL not realise the utter contempt Rugby League people in this country have for them?
