One day it's Gelling, then Sarg, then Budgie, now it's Smith. We're the form side in the league and playing some great stuff, why can't people be happy and support the team rather than bashing players? 72% is pretty good in my eyes. Ok so he misses a few but then so does Saint Kev and Danny Brough, I'm sure they don't get hammered for it. For every miss there is 4 or 5 great kicks from out wide, proving he can kick and will continue to do a good job in the cherry and white.

There's no point having a specialist goal kicker who can't add anything else to the team.
The point about Matty Smith's kicking is that it's 72% against everyone. That means in big pressure matches, he can be relied on not to crack. Compare that with the Blessed St Kev, who regularly in big matches struggles to land conversions (remember the last time we played Leeds at Wembley?).
I'm happy to settle for a regular goal kicker who can be relied on at crucial moments. If, of course, a brilliant kicker comes along in the course of events, I'd be happy, as I'm sure Matty would, to see him take over but any new kicker would have to contribute in lots of other ways on the field.

Matty's doing well enough you can't ask for anything more from him some go over some miss at the moment he's popping them over rather well so for now at least it's good enough for me.

I'd like to see the stats since Bath RU spent time with us. I think there has been an improvement in technique and routine.

The amazing Brough is at 70%, I do believe Smith is above that!!

Good goal-kicking, and a MOTM performance. Not too shabby at all.
