It certainly used to be. I think you have to chase a runner from behind and kick his legs away for it to be a straight red!

At least it should have been put on report and if Leulai is not cited by the disciplinary committee, it will be a disgrace.

It used to be a straight red. Ruling changed quite a few years ago if I'm not mistaken. I think now it depends on the severity of the trip as to what the punishment is.

Surprised tbh that it was not a penalty to Leeds. Seen they get everything now

Having read the other posts I'm going to look at the RFL site and see if there's anything there.
I thought it was at least a sinbin.

It definitely used to be a straight red.

At the very least that was a yellow.

Shows the following on the RFL web-site for punishments :-

Trips A-B Reaction trip
A-D Intentional trip

Also, John Bateman might want to know this bit :-

Strikes - head butting
A-B Head Butting – makes light contact
C-D Head butting – makes full contact
E-F Head butting – makes full contact in aggressive violent manner

Must be some kind of offence then?!?!

I think this tripping thing is all wrong.
Leuluai didn't stick his foot in front of Bowen to trip him up, he swung his leg out and kicked him with his boot.

Kicking out at an opponent is a sraight red and that IMO is what he should have got.
