Exactly Leeds get an easy run in they rest the older players and they would be fitter for the GF. Making them play week in week out could take its toll. Finishing top could actually give us Saints whilst finishing 2nd could give us Huddersfield.

Finishing top is now meaningless we need to be top 2.
Finishing top is not meaningless it brings a large cheque and if we achieve it we will have all the momentum going into the playoffs.
How will finishing top any more momentum?

If Leeds win their final 2 games and Wigan win their final two games; how will the momentum be any different?

I understand if we win 2 and Leeds win 1, we will be first and technically have a more psychological advantage, but it makes no different finishing 1st or 2nd against saints or hudds.

Momentum is over rated. We had no momentum in 2013 and won all the play off games with ease. Its about now ensuring Leeds play their best side for the next 2 weeks. We do that I have a hunch they do not make the Grand final.

Ordinarily I would agree re the importance of finishing top and the value of the hub cap but in this instance I think the stakes have been raised. Leeds if they win the LLS will be trading emotionally on let complete the perfect send off from Kev and JP; JP will be in the dressing room telling every players he is prepared to die for them. Rather than momentum per say, let reduce the emotional crux that bins Leeds together.

top 2 is vital(with our home record) the hubcap a bonus. Whether we play Stains or Hudds makes no odds. Sounds wierd but a loss to Stains next week might set us up for payback in the semi's (providing we then beat Cas to keep home advantage).

We need to turn Saints over next week for two reasons, firstly we don't want them gaining confidence because they can be a very dangerous team and secondly a victory for us would give us a dramatic lift going into the play offs.

Come on Cas, shape yourselves!!
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
