JOE WESTERMAN
Joe Westerman signs for WIRE FOR 150K.Not sure if this is a good signing or not. Seems to have gone backwards from a couple of seasons ago.

He is above average as far as I am concerned but that is it!!

They're welcome to him.
Can't understand at all why Smith would sign Westerman.

I think that he is a good player but he needs to kick-on. Could be an astute signing for Wire. Wigan were interested.

You see glimpses of something ability wise but also nagging doubts.

Really ironic day.
They sign Westerman for 150k the day we extended Bateman's contract. And they had a deal for him for 250k and Bateman is a heck of a lot better than Westerman.
Best 80k we have spent.

I know who I would prefer, JB is in a different class to Westerman who is no better than average.

Leeds were all set to sign him but baulked at the £150k transfer fee. Wire jumped in and snapped him up.keptinthedarkfans wrote:Not sure if this is a good signing or not.
I would have signed a player to strengthen an average looking three quarters (maybe even a quality experienced full back).
Westerman now fights for a place with Hughes, Westwood, Harrison and Currie. Who misses out?

I was thinking the same. Can't see where they are strenghening as all about same in ability as westerman imo. In fact Westwood and harrison would be nailed on for me.Just signed Hughes so there is going to be a bit of head scratching here.butt monkey wrote:keptinthedarkfans wrote:Not sure if this is a good signing or not.
