Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Thought the forwards for England were very impressive.
Lockers and Farrell were tackling machines, and Farrell often gets overlooked when the plaudits are being dished out because his tackling isn't spectacular to look at on an individual tackle basis, but if you look at it overall, it's highly important to both England and Wigan.

Footballers spend 90 minutes pretending they're injured. Rugby League players spend 80 minutes pretending they're not.

Not 'dull' at all. Great game of old fashioned rugby league....and we won.

Re: How dull is this England game?
I actually really enjoyed the game. New Zealand came at England hard early on, and England did well to get to HT on terms. It was clear that England were the fitter side and they really turned the screw in the 2nd half controlling it well. Great to see George's territorial kicking pinning back the Kiwis time and time again. Now there is a weapon that we can hopefully utilise next season.
People are saying that NZ always looked threatening and they did at times but just remind me how many points NZ scored in the 2nd half? That would be Zero. Even when the Kiwis resorted to trying to rough up the young lads they fronted up and didn't take the bait. Carried on playing their game and came away from it with a great win.

I thought it strange too CP, but the figures were there on the screen.cpwigan wrote:Those figures do not make sense PM. I enjoyed the game because the RL was tough with a threat from both teams.
Firstly came up possession at 70/30,in favour of England, then came up tackles made at 119 for England, 116 for NZ, then it went to possession of 75/25.
I was shocked.
My feeling is we will lose the series 2:1.
