Plumber loses £30000

reports The Daily Telegraph saying that is what Hulls Danny Brough gave up when he left his self employed plumbing job and pay if you win bonus at York to become an under £20k a year player and try his luck in Superleague for a season :exc:

And to think these football plonkers get that and more every game :exc:

I read an interview with Paul Cooke in The Times in the run up to the final in which he said he almost signed for Hull KR over Hull as a teenager because Rovers were willing to fix him up with "a job on a caravan site".

It makes you proud to be a league fan.
