Lewis Tierney at Fullback
Lewis Tierney at Fullback
Apparently Wane has confirmed that Tierney will be the first choice over Sarginson whilst Tomkins is out. Be interesting to see if he's up for the challenge.

Another "hail Mary" decision from Wane.
A key first team position in the team by a player who can only be described as a project and inexperienced. Again.
There is always a chance he could turn out to be another Burgess who looked mature beyond his years and rightfully had a first team position.
But that is a hope rather than an expectation because so far for me Tierney has done nothing to suggest he has a long term future at Wigan never mind deserves a place in the starting 13.
It's Muck or Nettles again at Wigan. And people wonder why we don't win things.

Agree totally with Dave O.Tierney has not inspired confidence by any of his displays up to now and to give him the full back spot is so risky for the first part of the season. He may surprise us but I would not put money on it

Yep another total gamble
The sad fact is that due to the state of the league and the blessing of the talent in are youth by this (cheap) approach we will still be there and there abouts
When it comes to the crunch matches we will be left wanting

Make do and mend once again. Last chance saloon this year for SW. Three seasons on the bounce with no pots is too much to contemplate!

Choice of language from Wane is rather poor once again. If I was Hampshire I wouldn't be in a rush to return from Cas. No need for Wane to have said a lot of what was said.

Fans whinge on about wanting our young players to be given game time, when these young ones get a chance the fans whinge on about them not being ready or experienced enough, you couldn't make it up :eusa17:
Re: Lewis Tierney at Fullback
Tierney too old to come good. Wane is clueless. What has he got on IL. Baffling/otherwise.
