In - card carrying Labour party member who thinks Corbyn is a breath of fresh air.
Socialist are internationalists not xenophobic nationalists.
For the benefit of Whelley Warrior:
"Internationalism is a political principle which advocates a greater political or economic cooperation among nations and peoples, and whose ideological roots can be traced to both socialism and liberalism."

Out 100%
You only need to look at my strapline to guess that.
I cannot be blamed for being in this mess we are now since I was in deepest darkest Africa working for Dunlop when the original vote to stay in after Harold Wilson lied through his teeth that he had got a meaningful improvement in our relationship with the then Common Market.
Compare and contrast with the same weasel worlds from D Cameron this time around and yes I am a hard right Tory but again you cannot blame me for Cameron as in the 2005 election for leader I voted for David Davies.
A&L will recognise this battle cry,
Vote Early
Vote Often

Re: EU in or out
In 100%
We know what we have with the EU.
The "Leave" campaign cannot tell us what we will have if we vote "Leave".
They cannot tell us on trade, re tariffs or quotas.
They cannot tell us on Agriculture and once EU farmers subsidies are gone what they will be replaced by.
They cannot tell us on Fisheries, on managing our 200 mile limit. On licences for EU fleets fishing in our waters.
On UK quotas for landing UK catches in the EU.
They cannot tell us anything about VAT. Whether they will retain it, replace it, if so with what and at what rate.
If fact they cannot tell us anything about what life will be like if we leave the EU.
The only guide therefore I have is how it was before we joined the Common Market.
That was about as bad as it could be. Trade disappearing, Firms closing, jobs lost, massive industrial unrest.
We are far, far better in than if we had voted out in 1975 as we could have done.
So I believe we will again be far better in than voting for something no one has any idea on what will happen.
Whatever deals we get they won't be as good as the deals we have now.
If you want to leave your job, vote leave.
If you want to remain in your job, Vote Remain.
Free Trade means more trade, and more jobs.
Vote Remain!

Re: EU in or out
If you are implying that I am a card carrying member of the Labour Party, supporter of Corbyn or even in a extremist left wing party like the Communist, Socialist Workers Parties etc, it only shows how little you know me where politics is concerned.DaveO wrote:In - card carrying Labour party member who thinks Corbyn is a breath of fresh air.

Oh, I might join the Chester Comedy Club which might strike a cord with a certain person on here!

I'm confused by WW's reply in which he seems to be suggesting you are having a go at him (WW) because he is card carrying Member!
Reading your original post it appears it's you who are the Member!
Either way, everybody is entitled to be a Member of whichever Party they choose in a Democracy!

I'm not a political scientist but I reckon this is a very accurate definition. I would however make one small, but significant emendation ie substitute "and" for "or"
NB I just want to make clear that Internationalism doesn't exclude Nationalism per se
Also Zenophobia being a mental state/condition which if unreasonable requires treatment. Zenophobia can occur in any walk of life which would of necessity include All the "isms "including Inernationists. It's often a ploy to give some kind of ideology a name and attack it as opposed to it's content
