Does it really matter?

I do not think people should but it might be better if No won as it would surely see Cameron resign. The sad part IMO is that Labour are in no position to govern and Corbyn for me is not a PM or even a leader. Very popular with grass roots Labour but so was Foot.

Ted, I think harping back 30 tears is pointless; what matters is here and no. I was very pro the EU back in its smaller guise. Now, it has gone backwards.

More like 40+Years CPW.
I'm all for out for one simple reason. Most of the posters yourself included want Cameron out, whatever your politics this shows up the failings of the EU. At least there is a chance to vote Conservatives out or in as the whim takes you but the whole point is you have control over who is running you.
With the EU people have no control, the MEPs do not make the laws which rule us it is the non elected bureaucrats who make the 50/60/70% of the laws which govern us, take your pick on the percentage, and the voter has no/non/nyet/nul opportunity to throw them out and to elect another group more in tune with what the voters want.
You cannot blame me for the mess, I was in Africa working for Dunlop when the original vote was made and although I am a card carrying Tory as well as a card carrying Ukip member I did not vote for Cameron in 2005 but instead voted David Davies

Wiganer Ted wrote:In 100%

We know what we have with the EU.

The "Leave" campaign cannot tell us what we will have if we vote "Leave".
They cannot tell us on trade, re tariffs or quotas.
They cannot tell us on Agriculture and once EU farmers subsidies are gone what they will be replaced by.
They cannot tell us on Fisheries, on managing our 200 mile limit. On licences for EU fleets fishing in our waters.
On UK quotas for landing UK catches in the EU.
They cannot tell us anything about VAT. Whether they will retain it, replace it, if so with what and at what rate.
If fact they cannot tell us anything about what life will be like if we leave the EU.

The only guide therefore I have is how it was before we joined the Common Market.
That was about as bad as it could be. Trade disappearing, Firms closing, jobs lost, massive industrial unrest.

We are far, far better in than if we had voted out in 1975 as we could have done.
So I believe we will again be far better in than voting for something no one has any idea on what will happen.
Whatever deals we get they won't be as good as the deals we have now.
If you want to leave your job, vote leave.
If you want to remain in your job, Vote Remain.

Free Trade means more trade, and more jobs.
Vote Remain!
Yes Ted but you are missing several basic points. Even if we do not know what Out will look like we do know what In will look like. More financial disruption, Youth unemployment at 2x the UK level in the southern European/French societies. Blair gave up half of Thatchers rebate on the hollow promise from the French that they would give up some of their agricultural subsidies which run at several x the UK farming subsidies. we don't know what the VAT levels will be or on what but did you know that under Brussels rules there should be VAT on food? I don't know about other EU countries but I do know that in France there is the lower rate of VAT, 5.5% en France, on all food so that in future will put up prices not down.
We do know what the tariffs if they were foolish enough to apply them to us would be, when we have a trade deficit of £50 billion with the EU (principally with Germany). Back in 1973 any country could apply what tariffs they liked but now under GATT the maximum is 13.5% which while obviously a lot higher than the intra market 0-3% could be offset by our tariffs on the £50 billion.
There would be no EU fishing vessels within our 200 mile limit (except of course where this 200miles would meet up with French/German/Belgium etc territorial boundaries).
Yes back in 1972 the EU looked like the promised land I grant you but economically we are now much stronger than anY EU country with the exception of Germany and Luxembourg (which is even more based on finacial institutions than the UK).
I have been in France during EU elections and interestingly much of the country is as anti EU as les anglais but their reason is because the EU is not socialist enough. The problems the UK might face voting to leave now may be difficult but I can assure you that they will be on a different scale to the problems all of Europe will fail when the euro project reaches its inevitable conclusion and disintegrates.
I must stop ranting at you now but only if you come to your senses and vote LEAVE.

They say 'beware of the yellow peril'.

But most think of it being military, but in my opinion it is now more economical with the way they now have accepted capitalism, and are undermining the economies of other powerful countries including the USA.

What with the spread of the Islami religion/terrorism and the economic power of China, the future of the world is looking more and more bleak.

Thankfully, I will not be around to see Armageddon!

p.s. Its those who see no problem now that is worrying.
