Re: Nuuausala Signs with immediate effect
I have only see him play for NZ, and he has looked fantastic. Given his age and talent, this is a very exciting signing indeed. Sure, he may fail, or take ages to settle, but of the players available to solve our problems of a new winger and a big enforcer prop the club have recruited brilliantly.

Does anyone know when he is coming over and when his first game will be?

Well must keep players like Ryan Sutton, players like him are the Bedstone of the club.cpwigan wrote:The club are also looking to extend Suttons contract which IMO is very good news.
Pleased you've mentioned Wigan are looking too extend his contract and I hope he stays.
I like young Gregson CP, another no nonsense player who looks tough enough.

God, just a general observation, Wigan fans get even more hyped about overseas signings than any Wigan 'born' player. Most Wigan fans do not even sonsider say Faz, Micky, George, the Tomkins signing new contracts as big news. So in many respects FPN and any overseas player will get far more support / hype.
Classically, Hull FC everybody get OTT about non Brits; personally I admite Ellis every time I watch him play.

Yes I would believe them he has struggled as did Sam Tomkins yet ST is by far the best player in SL. Joe Burgess went too soon to a team with World Class wingers and centres.ddtftf wrote:thegimble wrote:And some do not consider Joe Burgess coming back as a big deal. Ironically ST should be going to the NRL now not when he did and to the club he went to. Same with Joe Burgess he went at a time he was still developing. NRL do not develop the players their feeder system does that.

I agree there is no substitute for pace, Budgie gives us something our current wingers don't. You need a player with the ability to win a game out of nothing and Budgie has proved he has got it. I'm glad he will be returning and playing in the most famous colours in the game.ddtftf wrote:I for one am really glad they don`t like him. he has a quality you cannot buy " Pace"
Do you know if we are chasing a centre ddttff or is Tommy our final signing for 2017?

Yes Joe Burgess has blistering pace but what I always thought was his outstanding quality was his rugby brain. The lad always ran with his head up looking for anyone who could score nearer the posts to pass to.
He will be Super leagues outstanding winger until he decides to have another crack at the NRL.

What it tells you is all the excuses about not being able to sign anyone due having played those kids were a pile of poo.
That said as the guy is coming now and IF he can play as he did before he joined Canberra he will add just the sort of aggression our front row lacks. The sort of prop we need.
I just hope for his sake he negotiated his salary in $USD given he just got a 10% pay cut before he starts.
