Stop being a big baby, you lost, deal with it, countries are lining up to do deals with us, as for Dell raising their prices, maybe they've done it because they are a greedy American corporation who have seen an opportunity to raise their prices and blame it on brexit, it ain't rocket science
please can you enlighten me here as the only things i can find is EU countries wanting to make a example of us so others don't leave?
Is that so there are less countries to bail them out of debt?

As we aren't in the Eurozone we don't end up bailing out anyone who is out of debt.

In any case if the countries that needed bailing out left, then there would be no obligation on the other rich Eurozone countries to bail them out. The poor countries would probably then go running to the IMF for money and the UK does contribute to that. So be careful what you wish for.

Well Medlocke you have surpassed yourself now.

It's not the pound falling it's greed! I suppose Lenovo are greedy as well:

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles ... le-brexit

It's dead simple, as we import more than we export and the pound now buys less, prices are going up. Get used to it, it's what YOU voted for.

No doubt someone will say a weak pound is good for exports but that only works if there is a market for what you sell. If no one is buying it gains you little. And as we import more than we export it's obvious we come out of the equation badly.

I am not wishing for anything, just thought that if you are in the EU and one of the other EU countries needs financial support all the other EU countries step up!!

OK. But no, if you are in the EU you don't bail any other country out if they go tits up like Greece. You do if you are in the Eurozone which we are not.

As I said if any basket case country left the EU then the place they would go looking for help is the IMF, which we do contribute to. Though the way things are going less than a month after Brexit we might be heading with the begging bowl in that direction in a few years....

The Brexit supporters keep saying we have our democracy back did we really have it anyway. Only 38 percent of the U.K. voted for this government and now Mrs May says there will not be an election till 2020 that's democracy Tory stile. We also have a upper House of Commons which is totally unelected. We have loads of committees also unelected making important decisions every day, you call this democracy yet no one complains we have been deceived and deluded and we can not see it, but it is the common voter who will pay the price

Only 38% voted for the Government because more and more people are not voting as they see a situation the politicians are all the same, looking after number one and only interested in the people at election time.

Anyone may not agree with the recent referendum result, but it was a democratic decision made by the people and not politicians in Parliament.

Perhaps, if they had listen to people's concerns about the way the country is going, especially on immigration, there would not have been a referendum.

The only reason there was a referendum was due to a Tory party split and David Cameron's mistaken view it was a forgone conclusion. We certainly didn't have one to meet your concerns.

It was all Tory party politics where in the end he got beat by what John Major described as those "bastards". There were around 90 anti-Eu Tories and a minority of MP's from all parties pro-EU.

So he had no need to call a referendum but he was scared the Tory vote would split to UKIP so he thought he was being clever by giving us a referendum he felt certain to win. UKIP and the "bastards" killed off in one fell swoop or so he thought.

What he didn't count on when this went into the Tory manifesto was his mate Osborne laying waste to large parts of the country and how easily the anger this (rightly) brought to the four was manipulated by those running Leave so effectively. They conned many, including you in my opinion, into believing it was all the EU's fault and in particular the fault of migration when virtually all their problems are home grown down to government policy.

What also killed Cameron's ability to counter the anti-EU argument and anti-migrant argument was he could hardly stand up and say "No, it's not the EU or migrants, is me and my mate Osborne who have shafted you!". Despite that being the truth.

Corbyn tried to say this but as discussed on the thread about Labour he's just not very effective and he had no ally in Cameron when saying this (obviously) so Remain was split from the off.
They called it shooting yourself in the foot!
But it will be the majority of the leave voters who have shot themselves in the foot.

One day it will dawn on you that those bankrolling Leave such as Arron Banks have an agenda that doesn't include you.

You have missed the point only 38 percent of the people who voted not 38 percent of people who could have voted. This country is one of a very few who still employ the first past the post system that is why I said the UK is not a true democracy, smaller party's like the UKIP party got 20 percent of the vote but got only one seat in parliament. If you take into account that only 57 percent bothered to vote you can see how undemocratic our system is

There are so many reasons why this is complicated.

Generally the poorer working class vote went for Leave, richer middle class votes went to Remain.

Generally lower educated votes went for Leave, more educated went for Remain.

Ironically the people who stand to lose most from Leave imo are the poorer working class.

As I have posted before, London voted to Remain and frankly they subsidise the rest of the UK.

Lot's of people voted to Leave without knowing what the EU was.

Lot's of people were sold a lie.

Is this really Democracy? Perhaps.

That said we have to get on with it now. Brexit can take many forms and mean many things. Which form will be the key question and will shape Britain for the next century.
