FPN deserves his charge and because it caused a big on field melee he could well get a ban. So wait for the reaction when we appeal it!

LMS probably wouldn't have even got a caution if FPN hadn't reacted. That's frustrating because all this unnecessary niggle does nothing for the game.

Well, quite. You can't say "bring back the biff" and then in the next breath complain about suspensions.
Although it seems plenty do...

Retaliation has always been judged and sentenced similarly, as it can lead to brawls, degenerating into a series of punch-ups, and then the niggle often spreading to other players.
Coming from the NRL, he should know better, where they have a really strict no punch policy and where this leads to instant dismissal. Had it there now for several years - hardly anyone in recent seasons has been sent off for this offence.
