Totally gutted. Was sorry to hear he was retiring in the first place but was pleased his last game would at least be at the DW where he had so many great moments. Suppose he may well have returned home if the injury is this bad but would be nice if he were to be there for the last regular game of this season and like others have said would hope the club could recognise him officially in some way. Will never forget 2010 for a variety of reasons, my better half was seriously ill for a large part of that summer and a friend (who is a director at Warrington ) was at the man of steel awards and spoke to Pat about what had happened and Pat signed the rugby ball which was on his table and sent get well wishes along with it which was just a mark of the man to me.
Rugby league will miss him and I wish him nothing but the best.
