Opening 2017 Betfred Super League game at Salford to now kick-off at 1:15pm

Warriors begin title defence at AJ Bell Stadium on Saturday 11th February

Warriors face Red Devils ahead of World Club Challenge against Cronulla Sharks
Wigan’s opening fixture of the 2017 Betfred Super League season against Salford on Saturday 11th February will now kick-off at 1:15pm.

The game, originally scheduled for 3pm on the same day, has been brought forward owing to the Manchester United football game at Old Trafford.

The Warriors begin the defence of their Super League title at AJ Bell Stadium ahead of the Dacia World Club Challenge against Cronulla Sharks at the DW Stadium on Sunday 19th February.

Wigan will head into the game on the back of a busy pre-season that includes trips to London Skolars, Leigh Centurions, Swinton Lions and Catalans Dragons as well as a game against the newly-formed Toronto Wolfpack.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
