Be proud

Post by TheDevil666 »

Forget score, results, points. NOTHING is won or loss at this time of the season but in 3 defeats Wigan ran 3 so called wonderful/fit/healthy clubs/teams within a bugs whisker. None when it matters and when Wigan are all healthy, fit etc, the teams concerned will be fearful!

It matters because we are losing players each week. We are now playing clueless rugby again. Next week will tell us a lot about the injuries are some as bad as reported. If we go up against Saints with this team its a 50/50 game unless Saints play well. Then we lose we do not have points in us playing like we do.

Then we are running a side into Wakey who are a decent side and we might have to pay the same players exactly as we would against Wakey and lose. We could be looking at 5 games and no win by the end of Easter.

Be proud yes but be realistic as well.

Are we out of the CC? Are we out of the GF? Players will be back, youngsters are gaining experience.Add Gelling/Budgie/Lockers and that team beats Cas.

We are a million miles from our best but Powell and co were dripping brown stuff in the last 20 minutes!

I(f we lose to saints does it matter / if we lose to Wakefield does it matter?

Do not think for a second that I do not know if we get players back playing we will walk the Grand Final. Problem is we lose more games we end up having to play more competitively getting into the Super 8. Which usually we pick a spot to avoid a certain away game if possible.

Last season worked for us as we did not play 100 miles per hour as Cas are doing now they will fade we finished stronger than them today. What we can not do is go 100 miles per hour every game from May onwards and end up out of gas in the end.

Wire are the World champions at that. That is my worry we go al out from May and do not have the energy to get to the GF.

Of course it matters ,every loss hurts no matter who against . I've never read such a daft question.

Proud of the effort tonight a couple of passes go to hand and it could have been a win. The injuries will be the deciding factor in how our season finishes. Considering our whole first choice back line was missing and Tierney, not to mention Micky, Lockers and JB, we run another top team close, if we get everyone back we will storm to the finals if not who knows, I wouldn't put it past our youngsters to get us to Wembly and or OT although the league leaders might be a pipe dream

Hub Cap ain't important. Ironically for Cas it is and that will be their undoing as was the challenge cup 2 years ago.

I only mentioned it as part of the grand slam, which with all our players fit should be do-able. I want us to win all four to shut up the whinos :D

I am happy to go on record by saying Cas will not win Grand Final this year and will be lucky to even get there. If they were missing 10 players who would be in the 17 and played a full strength Wigan side they would have lost by 40.I thought tonight we did ok but there were a couple of players who underformed.Isa was poor, Flower and Clubb had less impact than usual as did Powell. We will improve when bodies get back.

The point you are all missing is the fact that it wasn't our 3 young three quarters who let us down tonight.
Our pack of forwards which despite a couple missing were pummelled to death and our half backs had their worst game of the season behind them and don't get me started on Georges kicking game tonight.????
