Jack Wells and Callum Field

Post by southportcdm »

I thought both did a great job yesterday. Playing well at the Magic event with so little first team experience bodes well for their future. Warrington are a big side and they didn't seem intimidated at all. One of them refused to back down when Hill (what a player) was in his face at one point. Nice one lads, keep it up.

Beat me to it. I thought Wells was particularly impressive and I'd rather we persevered with him than the frankly useless lump that is FPN at the moment.

Was Wells the big bold lad who wouldn't back down from Chris Hill?
Let's is a contraction of “let us.” You use it to make suggestions about what you and someone else should do. Let's is NOT a promise

Yes think hill thought he could intimidate him and was very wrong

Wells really impressed me

It reminded me of Bateman with Peacock 2 or 3 years ago at Headingley. Great stuff!

The youngsters that have come through into the first team this year have been absolutely outstanding. What other team could push a near full strength Wire side all the way like we did with the amount of injuries we have had.
Is it something like ten first teamers out yet we can still compete at such a high level, fantastic effort.
Have some teams in super league cancelled reserve grade rugby/junior development? if so then what happens when they get 10 first teamers injured what will they do, cancel games until most first teamers get fit?

They would have to have loan players like Widnes have done. Not sure if any other super league team would cope as well as we have done. All credit to our young lads that have stepped up. :D
