Re: grand final
It's easy to say, Cas bottled it, but I don't really buy that. The loss of Hardaker, and then the conditions, made Leeds strong favourites for me. And so it turned out. Cas just dropped too much ball, and the Leeds forwards were excellent. People have been blaming Gale, but for me it was Roberts who had the nightmare; he was poor throughout.
And whatever we jibe about the standard of footy in SL, I still think, unfortunately, that either side would have beaten Wigan comfortably.

Big forwards playing like forwards and a half back controlling the game with his kicking. I really think Waney should have watched it.

Doubt if there will be one, he will burst into tears and walk off

He will watch it, and so will the players. Thanks to the wonders of modern technology...southportcdm wrote:Big forwards playing like forwards and a half back controlling the game with his kicking. I really think Waney should have watched it.

What happened to Andy Lynch? Not even in the squad.
Super coach Powell messed up for this one.
Love him or loathe him, that was Danny Maguires finest game in years.
The game was enjoyable but so error ridden it was at times farcicle.

I said all along that Cas would win the hubcap and that's it.
Winning league games is one thing but one off sudden death is another matter.
The open play which has led to Cas success all season was non existent today!

Hardaker was a massive miss for Cas but overall they were dreadful.
Not sure even with Hardaker they'd have won. Powell made a mistake by resting all those players v Hull. Their form never recovered after that match.

Garbage. Is that what RL has become?
The worst thing is. We are much poorer than the teams on display today.
Wish I followed dominoes instead.

Watched from the Leeds end,McGuire is a hell of a player and they’ll miss him,Cas utterly woeful for the most part
Re: grand final
Wayne should watch this game and look what a pack of forwards going forward and a hooker doing 80 mins a stand off playing off the forwards as Leeds did tonight.Leeds front row was awesome.
