Wigan to sign 'Widnes star'
My first thought on seeing this headline in a rugby paper this morning was, which star? But then remembered that they have an excellent young hooker who we may be interested in when Tommy retires. Reading on, I was disappointed to see that the star referred to was Danny Craven who can't get a game for Widnes at present. On further reflection I decided that Sam Powell and Josh Ganson will be our hookers next season so we've no need to sign Craven (and pay a fee) at all.

Gutted, was really hoping it was going to be the fantastic kicker and try scorer Patrick Ah Van :conf:

Well we will need a kicker next season if the ‘Sam’ rumours are true. (No smoke without fire)
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

In the League Weekly Parker says we are after LLoyd White at Widnes.
It suggest that Tommy L will retire and White would play 9 allowing Ganson to gain game time over a couple of seasons until he's ready to take over at 9.
I know it's Parker but there does seem sense in that.

No thanks. Would rather sign Lloyd Grossman. Just put Powell back at 9 (might as well accept he won't be leaving) and sign a top half back. Barrett, Finch, Green. There must be one out there somewhere.

Shopping at Poundland again if it is true.

I think Lloyd white isn’t a bad signing, what’ve seen of him he looks ok.
I’m not saying it’s great but it could of been worst

And when the answer to that is, we can't, because we don't have the cap space?
