Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

Maguire set to be announced as Kiwis coach

Post by josie andrews »

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Has any coach won SL/NRL titles and a World Cup?

Has any coach won all of those and still coaches in the NRL?, You get sacked because you are seen as not good enough or because you are a complete arsehole or because you've stolen something or because you've been caught doing drugs, not because your still a great coach

There is only one coach in the history of the modern game who has managed to avoid the fate of all other coaches, which is to be sacked, and that is Bennett and he only avoided getting the boot by resigning before he was fired when he first left Brisbane.

Coaches often get the boot from one club and are employed by another particularly ones who have won trophies.

There is nothing strange about this appointment at all and Faz certainly seems to think he will turn NZ into a better force than they are.

John Monie always used to say:

There are two kinds of coaches. Those being sacked and those waiting to be sacked
I'm a better fan than you
Because I don't "Boo"!!!

Yes I bloody know transfer fees do not count on the salary cap for those illiterates that need it explaining to them because they assume everyone is as thick as they are
