Touch Judge 1 J. Smith
Touch Judge 2 M. Griffiths
Reserve Referee A. Smith
Reserve Touch Judge G. Melling

Video Referee R. Hicks

M Com C. Hodgson
Time Keeper F. Hawley
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,

Living in Glasgow as I do, I'm not quite au fait with the referees and their favourites, but I thought Hicks was not the worst.

I still hold to the view I have had for a long time that Hicks is not fit to be a linesman let alone any sort of referee.

It's not so much that he's a bad referee all the time like Child but more that he's ineffectual; makes poor decisions and loses the respect of both teams then tries to make up for it by becoming authoritarian. It's why there is always a simmering discontent in the matches he referees on the field. On the Video Ref spot, he's probably safer, although that's not a given.
