Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

Rugby union converts who made an impact at Wigan... and those who didn't

Post by josie andrews »

After Warrington Wolves completed the signing of England RU’s Luther Burrell earlier this week, here are 10 players Wigan captured from the 15-a-side code.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I'd add Steve Hampson - Vulcan RU, I believe.

:D Spot on, as anyone who remembers wintergreen would tell you!

Standing in th'En Pen and smelling wintergreen (not you personally!) as the players came out to March of the Gladiators. And only after having asked a bloke "Tek me through, Mister" and paying your thre'pence.

I'm sure you remember it all as well as I do.

Which is now a new housing estate, a football pitch and an Aldi superstore.

Trevor Lake was a great wingman. Played same time as Billy B on the opposite wing, obviously sorry!
One of the first I saw was Rees Thomas, signed from Swinton but from Welsh RU.
