Wane vs Lam

Post by nathan_rugby »

If we had Wane this year and all departures and injuries were the same, where do we think we would be in the league compared to now?

At the moment we are:

8th - P15, W6, L19, Points = 12

Bare in mind Saints (28 points), Wire (22 points), Catalan and Hull (18 points).

More points than 12. This league is crap, how many of today’s players would get in our team 10 years ago? The same applies to all other teams.

Standard is different but I’m only interested in a like for like. How many do you honestly think Wane would have got? All conditions the same?

Would Wane have patched up the cracks a bit more effectively? Almost certainly, but it doesn't alter the fact that the squad requires major surgery.

Twice as many. The players clearly have no desire and no idea what they are meant to be doing. Lam is not only inept, he has no idea how bad he is, hence his constant surprise when the team gives up and play like headless chickens.

It wouldn't have made for good watching but there are matches we wouldn't have lost under Wane that we did under Lam. The defence on and near the line would have been better, which would have made a difference.

Is it IL and KRs fault for not recognising the job at hand for the coach to follow Wane?

Or is it Lams

Or Both

If Waney is the true messiah like some fans on here think he is then why did he choose to resign when the going got tough?, Was it the fact he's never had a squad as shite as this before and he knew fine well he would be found out?, Some fans really do need to pull their heads out of their arses and remember the many many games over the Waney years where they slagged him off for no plan B, For the team being bereft of attack in the oponents 20, It wasn't all biscuits and gravy under Wane.

As for the Lam bashing, Maybe fans should wait to see what he can do with a fully fit squad before hanging him out to dry ffs, If it is no better then bin him off, Though I doubt Wayne Bennett could pull off a winning run with this current shower of shite
