Wigan and Salford interested in Hull prop

Post by josie andrews »

Long-serving prop Chris Green will depart Hull FC at the end of the season, with Hull Live reporting that Salford and Wigan are interested in his services.

Local lad Green has spent eight years as part of the first team at the KCOM Stadium, winning the Challenge Cup in 2016 and 2017.

Reports suggest Green has already told his Hull teammates that this will be his last year at the club, with an offer already on the table from across the Pennines.

Salford are the favourites for his signature at this stage, however Wigan have shown interest and may make a move for the 29-year-old in the coming days.

Green is one of a number of players who will leave Hull FC at the end of the season.

Young hooker Jez Litten is one of those and he is set to sign for Hull KR.

The 21-year-old has been unable to break into Lee Radford’s team and is expected to join the Robins for free when his contract expires in six months.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
