Warriors agree partnership with Kingfisher

Post by josie andrews »

Wigan Warriors are delighted to announce a multi-year partnership with Kingfisher, India’s number-one beer brand.

Having recently announced a similar partnership with Southampton FC, Kingfisher have turned to the Warriors to support its ambitious growth plans, representing its first partnership with a rugby club.

As an Official Partner, Kingfisher have exclusive pouring rights at Robin Park Arena, providing lager and cider for the matchday Fan Village, Club functions and other non-matchday events.

To celebrate the launch of the partnership, Kingfisher will provide the first 500 visitors to the Fan Village ahead of Thursday’s fixture against Castleford with a complimentary drink (pint of lager, bottle of cider or soft drink).

The Robin Park Arena Fan Village will be open from 5:45pm until 7:15pm with live music, family entertainment and visits from members of the Warriors squad.

This will be the first in a series of exciting activations with Kingfisher, with the brand set to collaborate with the Club as part of a series of non-matchday events in summer 2020.

Wigan Warriors Executive Director Kris Radlinski commented,

“We are delighted to welcome Kingfisher into our growing family of commercial partners as part of our hugely exciting move to Robin Park Arena.

“By working closely with an established global brand with a strong product portfolio, we look forward to providing supporters with high-quality drinks, whilst collaborating on an exciting series of events and activations to support the growth of the Kingfisher brand in the UK.”

Rob Pietre-Cambacedes, Kingfisher Beer UK’s Brand Manager said,

“This is an exciting announcement for Kingfisher and we are proud to support a Club with such loyal fans and a renowned heritage.

“We look forward to developing our relationship with the club and working together on a number of events at the ground.”

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
