As the 320 Wigan/St Helens bus stops near me, I wondered about the feasibility of going to games by bus. Surely you can get there, but getting back...?
Just looking up the time-table, the last bus that comes back to Wigan (as opposed to terminating in Ashton) appears to leave St Helens Bus Station at 2150, Monday to Friday.
I assume that is too early, and cutting it a bit too fine. Has anyone done this successfully?

Always thought the return was a bit early for a midweek game and even if you jump on near the ground its full of Saints fans.
Maybe get the bus there and the train home as there's one every hour at quarter too until almost midnight.

Mayfair Travels' s coach (Hindley One) goes through Ince. Get on Wigan or Hindley and maybe they would let you hop off at Ince on the way back.moto748 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2019 1:57 pm As the 320 Wigan/St Helens bus stops near me, I wondered about the feasibility of going to games by bus. Thanks, guys!
Bus or train would be free for me!
I've got the Mayfair Hindley bus before (just the other week for Wakey, in fact), but usually find my own way for the closer games like Saints and Wire.
I just want an option if the weather is bad, and/or I haven't got my bike back.
The train will fit the bill.

If you’re able to do the Wigan walk it’d be fine!

Actually, no! I was booked on the Hindley bus, but got bumped off it, and got put on the bus to Wigan. But then they drove me back to Ince anyway.Fujiman wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2019 7:39 pmwe must have been on the same coach thenmoto748 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2019 4:44 pm Thanks, guys!
