Magic travel packages

Wigan Warriors have teamed up with Official Travel Partner Shearings to organise a range of official supporter travel packages to the 2020 Dacia Magic Weekend in Newcastle.

The popular event will return to St James’ Park on the May bank holiday weekend (23rd/24th), with fixtures to be confirmed by Super League in due course.

Shearings have acted quickly to organise a range of travel packages including both one night (departing Saturday morning) and two nights (departing Friday morning) stays, both of which will allow fans to enjoy both days of action.


Coaches will depart from Stretton Interchange (Warrington) with a pickup in Wigan, whilst a separate package with pickups in Barrow, Workington and Whitehaven has been arranged to cater for the Club’s Cumbrian fanbase.

City centre accommodation is available at the centrally located four star Maldron Hotel or Travelodge Central Newcastle both of which are within walking distance to the ground.

Fans can also choose from hotels across the wider North East, each of which are within communing distance from St James’ Park with transfers provided.

Wigan Warriors Executive Director Kris Radlinski commented:

“Our fans are renowned for travelling in strong numbers to support the team wherever they play, as we’ve seen at the Nou Camp and Anfield in particular this season.

“We are excited to see the Dacia Magic Weekend return to Newcastle in 2020, a destination which has always been enjoyed immensely by the Wigan fans.”

• 1-night break including return coach travel (departing Saturday morning and returning after the final game on Sunday), 4 star accommodation on a bed & breakfast basis from £129pp

• 2-night break including return coach travel (departing Friday morning and returning after the final game on Sunday) staying in: o Budget accommodation on a room only basis from £134pp o 4-star accommodation on a bed & breakfast basis from £184pp
