Thinking about actually getting my shirt printed this year to celebrate lockers career.

Will they print dates or just name and number?
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

I had 400 on a shirt then had 450 put on to celebrate his achievements. He has, IMO, been one of our best players for many, many years.

I for one will be gutted when he hangs up his boots as I’ve followed him from his St Pats days. I told him when he was 18 & still playing in the academy that he would be Wigan Captain & become a legend at the club
😊🏉🍒⚪️♥️
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Cant argue with a lot of that Josie other than him becoming a legend. Although he has been a great player for us and held in high esteem by fellow players he falls short in my interpretation as a legend. like yourself I have been privileged to be old enough to have seen a lot of great players in my lifetime play for Wigan. (im not saying your old :) :) ). but imo only seen a hand full I would call legends. Boston and Hanley to name 2. but many greats . it is interesting though to see other opinions on who they think where legends and where the line starts and ends to define a legend.

Edwards was up there for me.
Tarnished it abit though with the him becoming coach fiasco

That's a great point as to what constitutes legends and greats. Think there have been many greats, loads of them in fact but as to legends, maybe not so many.
Think from my perspective, a legend is someone who opposing fans don't want to see anywhere near the ball.
Hanley and Boston definitely fit into this category but also Tomkins, pre his New Zealand move, Offiah, Bret Kenny, Paul and Andy Farrell. Think that SOL, like Edwards, only just misses out on being a legend on the playing field but I'm sure many will disagree.

Tomkins, A legend and Edwards isn't    , It also makes me laugh when Brett Kenny is trotted out as a Club legend even though he only played in 25 games

Tomkins isn’t a Legend

Leytham
Miller
Sullivan (Jim)
Gee
Egan
Boston
Ashton
Kenny
Hanley 💎
Edwards
Gregory
Offiah
Farrell
Vaealiki

Those are Legends. End of debate! Thank you. The rest get nowhere near. (If I missed someone obvious, apologies)

Jim Sullivan
Billy Boston
Ellery Hanley

Would be our Holy Trinity

O’Loughlin just knocks on

James Slevin
Ces Mountford
And the “kind of rugby player you’d want to be in your dreams” James Leytham
Should be in the Wigan Warriors Hall
Of Fame

Just to point out different age groups will have different players who are legends to them.

Lockers is a SL era legend "end off"

He deserves respect for his achievements and has been one of the best loose forwards around if not the last true one in SL for a few years.

It amazes me how people want to beliitle our own players even when players and coaches alike seem to hold him in such high esteem.
