Re: Mose Masoe
showing signs of improvement following horror spinal injury
Hull Kingston Rovers have confirmed that Mose Masoe is awake and has continued to show signs of improvement after an operation on a serious spinal injury.
The prop forward was stretchered off just two minutes into Rovers’ 18-6 defeat at Wakefield Trinity on Sunday and was taken to Leeds General Hospital.
After he underwent surgery late last night, Rovers provided a positive update on the Samoan international this afternoon.
The club statement reads: “Following Mose’s surgery last night, he is awake and alert and has continued to show signs of improvement.
“Mose has an overwhelmingly positive mindset and would like to thank everyone for their concern and well wishes.
“He would also like to extend special thanks to staff at Leeds General Infirmary for their unbelievable care.
“The club will continue to provide further updates as soon as they can, and in the meantime would ask for privacy for Mose and his family at such a difficult time.
“If anyone would like to offer a kind donation to support Mose and his family, please do so via the official Hull Kingston Rovers donation page.
“The club wishes to thank the Rugby League Benevolent Fund for flying Mose’s family over to be with him.”

Re: Mose Masoe
Judging from the underlying tone of this - sounds like it could be pretty serious, hopefully it wont but i get the impression from the reports that this isnt the normal run of the mill injury but something much worse

Re: Mose Masoe
As soon as spinal surgery was mentioned it would seem to me at least the end of his career surely there’s no returning from that injury?
Re: Mose Masoe
Spinal injury could mean a lot more than end of career. I think the lack of info about the injury indicates that its extremely serious.
Re: Mose Masoe
Condolences to Mose. What an awful way to finish your career.
Fingers crossed he makes a full recovery
