It was the World 9's that England did play in before the full tour of NZ and PNG in the autumn, when Sam Tomkins was one of the best in the whole tournament, but Wayne Bennett chose not to pick him for any of the Internationals, amongst other strange decisions the Coach came up with.
If I remember, the 9's was played at Bankwest, Parramatta's new stadium ?

Sam Tomkins certainly looked a class above anyone else in the squad, and as for Bennett, the least said the better.
