Re: Wells & Kilner loaned to Toronto
Being that Torronto are already up to the SC, I'd presume that we are still paying the wages for the duration of the loan.

On any loan deal the parent club continue to pay the players salary, they then invoice the club to whom the player is loaned an agreed amount on a monthly basis.

Under a live salary cap there would therefore be no benefit to the club through a reduction in wage bill. Unless a rule was allowed to anticipate the future payment which would reduce the salary cap by X?No straw damn us wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2020 9:29 am On any loan deal the parent club continue to pay the players salary, they then invoice the club to whom the player is loaned an agreed amount on a monthly basis.

Which basically says that all of the players loaned out will come off the salary cap for the period of the loan.

Re: Wells & Kilner loaned to Toronto
So, if I've understood it correctly, who pays who, and how much is paid, are irrelevant to salary cap calculations. In simple terms, Wells' and Kilner's wages count on Toronto's SC and not on Wigan's SC for the duration of the loan.
A reasonable conclusion would be that TW must have had some space on their SC, albeit a relatively small amount, to accommodate the two lads' monthly wages.
