Hi
I've changed the way the site handles user logins, primarily to remove the insecure cookies that the site used to set to do automatic logins.
Because of the change, your details are secure when choosing to auto-login from a public PC i.e. your username and password are no longer stored openly on the machine as cookies. However, as before, other users of the machine may be logged-on with your details.
The changes should not affect anybody, but knowing me they will - so anyone experiencing problems logging-in or with auto-login - please let me know at mike@wigan-warriors.com.

Nothing to do with the title but I don't want to start another thread off. I tried clicking 'older threads' down at the bottom of the page and it doesn't open up the page, it says Error!

another one, Mike, post counts don't seem to be working..I've been stuck on 2405 since the site came back up after your holiday.

The reason your count isn't increasing is because it only counts sensible, well-argued comments.pie eaters posted:

Mike - the voting screen's not working properly at the moment. It seems that the Expiry Date resets itself to 0000-00-00 whenever anyone votes, which then means that no-one else can vote until the poll is edited to put a meaningful expiry date back in again.

I've always said that computers and software are deliberately designed with bugs and other faults so that developers always have something to do to keep themselves in work - if everything worked fine first time, there'd be no need for us until it was time to completely replace a system!
