Barely a hint, it even says he is due to retire and join the coaching staff next year.

But does age matter? Gareth Ellis is 39 and he still did/does a job
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

Couldn't agree more re: Madness!
I think should we win silverware, it will hopefully sway SOL to bow out gracefully and a champion!

Wouldn't mind Tommy going round again for 12 months (based on his performances so far and fitness).

How many games does Ellis play O’Loughlin?

Why, because we have not played many games this season so he can perhaps go around again?

I think it’s a bad idea and agree with CheshireWarrior, let’s hope we get some silverware (preferably the cup as the league is all over the place) and he can bow out with a medal.

No, shouldn't happen. We've so many top youngsters coming through, and who will be far more experienced by next season, they deserve a clear pathway to progress their careers without having an old stager blocking their place in the side, and using up valuable SC spend, when it should be going towards the development of the future talent at the club.
With his injuries and recent playing record, surely he can be just as influential to these younger players off field in a coaching capacity. This must be the way surely for the club to go ?

If the salary cap value of the deal is appropriate and the plan is to have him almost as a coach on the field when needed I've got no problem with it.
