Pack not good enough or big enough

Problem is you can run a smaller pack if your hooker can scoot - we lose so much by Powell having zero pace look at leeming he ripped us to pieces and once he’s scooted the defence is broken and a quick potb and the props are running at a retreating line

Look how Leeds have the chance to get a set line every tackle because Powell can’t do any damage from dummy half

I’m not saying this is all Powell’s fault but this is the issue with such a limited person at hooker

We won enough under Wane with Powell at hooker.

This is all Lam, and another top 4 club would have sack a coach with his record.

This is my point though - we had a better pack under wane for a start - Bateman was worth 10 points a game

The issue is when your pack is doing well you don’t need much from your dummy half but what you will see with better hookers like roby et al when the pack is struggling and against fast line speed they will scoot and disrupt that to create momentum the rest of the team can use - for us if our pack fails we havent got that so we can’t break the momentum of the other team

Like I say it’s not me saying Powell is why we are failing today no one is playing well and lockers is showing why he needs to stay in the damn stands but we also need a hooker with more smarts and some pace so they can help break the game when we are against it

Lockers also gave the penalty away and was found flat footed on our line so was easily side stepped for that try.
I'm not normally a Lockers knocker, however, he looks his age today.
