Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: Lee Mossop
When they’ve played professional RL for 10 years. Instead of 10 years for the one club as it used to be!

Re: Lee Mossop
It used to be that the award of a testimonial was an acknowledgement and reward for ten years service to one particular club. This has now been extended to a small, but select group of players, whose exceptional contribution to the game, via one of three avenues. Those who feel they qualify through one of these are then required to submit an application to the RFL, under whose jurisdiction the scheme operates.josie andrews wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 3:13 pmWhen they’ve played professional RL for 10 years. Suppose that is better than the old system whereby, if your face fits then you got a testimonial. The booze hound wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 4:45 pmIt used to be that the award of a testimonial was an acknowledgement and reward for ten years service to one particular club. Steve Hampson comes to mind. He got shunted off just before one was due after ten years brilliant service.

But he got his revenge when he played for Salford!
Regarder une fille en bikini, c'est comme avoir un revolver chargé sur sa table:
Il n'y a rien de mal a ça mais il est difficile de penser à autre chose.
Now Europe is just for holidays.

Top lad Hampo, I think the way the club treated him left a sour taste in many mouths. Mind you, the club’s ruthlessness at that time kept us top of the pile, we could do with a little of that now
