NRL club set to sign Jackson Hastings
Wigan halfback Jackson Hastings is apparently close to signing a deal with NRL side Wests Tigers for 2022, according to WWOS.
The number seven has repeatedly hit the headlines in the past few seasons, winning the Man of Steel and attracting a number of suitors from abroad. But, his Wigan contract runs out at the end of 2021.
Hastings has been back in Australia during the holiday period and, with the Tigers losing both Benji Marshall and Josh Reynolds, it almost seems a perfect fit.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Here we go again! Jacko has an extended break & he’s getting a new club! Nothing to write about? Let’s get everyone’s back up before SL season starts

Let him go for a big fee, Replace him with Jai Field and bring in a top class prop and back up winger, No player is bigger than the club

I’ve no problem with that providing he sees out his contract with us. I think he is desperate to win a trophy in SL, hence him agreeing another 12 month contract.

It's not about now though. That and Mole saying it's for next year.

More nonsense it seems to me the lad is settled here in the U.K. certainly more so than other players that come for 2 years and go.
Just more crap written in a fairly quiet offseason it seems to me

Good to see that he's with us until the end of his contract at least.josie andrews wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 8:41 am Here we go again! Jacko has an extended break & he’s getting a new club! Nothing to write about? Let’s get everyone’s back up before SL season starts

This just reinforces what I've said for some time that with the possibility of both Leuluai and Hastings leaving end of 2021 then Smith and Field have to play each game. Whether that's Smith off the bench at times or Field starting the season on the wing it is imperative we prepare for the future without Tommy or Jacko.
Make the best use of them this season but be aware they won't be playing for us for 2022.
