Season tickets 2021

Post by moto748 »

It's just struck me I've completely lost track of what is happening about STs. When ST holders were asked if they wanted a refund or not (three options, weren't there?), that was for the 2020 season, was it not? What about this season upcoming? As far as I know I am on a rolling renewal each year. I certainly don't recall having had any contact from the club lately about it.

Could anyone clarify> TIA.

This was my post on another thread;

It is true that the ticket office being closed is causing a delay for us. But why would the administrators want it sorted any time soon when they will be raking in a pretty penny in fees!

I have been told that the club are hopefully going to release details about ST by the end of next week.

Quote from an email I received earlier this week;
I’m also pleased to confirm that after a lot of discussion yesterday, we believe that we’re almost there with the season ticket structure, subject to our legal team checking all the final drafts of the documentation. Fingers crossed we should have something to update everyone by the end of next week from the way things are looking.
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Looks like we won't be able to sell STs till June.

BJ has announced 10k fans or 25% capacity, whichever is the smaller from 17th May and fully open from 21st June, assuming criteria on hospital occupancy, vaccination numbers, infection rates and new variants are met. Even then extra measures may be in force locally.

That would be 6K fans in the stadium in May though. Could sell season tickets in that scenario perhaps?

With 10k season ticket holders some will be missing out. Can't really sell ST on that basis. Also the added complication that we may have Covid passports in place then for large events for a considerable time, even after June 21st.

Perhaps if there's a game where max crowd is 6000 and there are 8000+ season ticket holders in 2020. Then put them on sale like C Cup ties where first they go to shareholder/season ticket holders, then to season ticket holders and those then not sold go on sale to supporters.
That's the normal way when demand for tickets is expected to exceed supply.

Footballs premier league was using a ballot system when they had limited crowds during the last phase.
