French is with his sick mother and Hastings was obviously trying to get a gig back in the NRL

French probably asked politely, Hastings dictated (so we've been told)
id lay money no-one on here knows the facts of either of those points
Lammy said French was with his sick mother the other day in a statement
And if you can't see what Hastings was up to then I've got a white cane you can have

Hastings Grandfather is very poorly & needs heart surgery.

French is also very family orientated & his mother is very poorly. Also French isn’t all over social media!
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

To be fair I can remember that when he was interviewed on tv after the game where we won the League Leaders Trophy Hastings said then that his grandfather was very ill.

We should only concern ourselves with what happens on the pitch.

jackson has returned super fit having worked his socks off in pre season back in Aus.

He was tested on day 1 of his return and was expected to have to spend a week or two doing fitness before joining the rest of the squad.

Instead he joined the rest of the squad on day 2 as his fitness was where it needed to be and is up for selection in round 1. The extended stay in Aus has done him no harm.

I never doubted him, unfortunately others on here were simply trying to criticise him without knowing the facts. It’s time to get behind the lad not continually snipe at him.

It's Bibby's turn to be the couch potatoes' target this season now Burgess is out the way!

Sky have already earmarked that spot for Smithies.
