Don't see why he can't be coached into being a prop who looks to make the ball available - our other props do.
As for French in the centre - it's more a case of making the most of Hardaker. He's been our standout player in these matches at full-back, much more so than when he plays in the centre. French, as I said, would be dangerous wherever he plays - on the wing - in the halves or centre - loose-forward even (if ball-playing loose-forwards ever come back) - depends where there is somewhere we can fit him in. A specialist centre is always best - Gildart, for example (and I'm not suggesting that he doesn't play when he's fit) but Zak does more for the team at full-back and if Faz can do well at centre where he's never played before than why not French?
French to loose if ball playing from that position returns?

Heard it all now, will stop responding because it’s getting silly.
Must remember that for the future.

Seriously, it's just opinion and they are all allowed.

We have two wins from two matches so have a happy Easter and let's hope York are obliging in the Cup.

Yeh, good points, starting seemed to focus him on playing the full game and not have the pressure of being an impact sub.

Why?
That’s what Jon Wells was eluding to on the after match analysis. I’m not saying it’s true but it’s unusual for sky sports to mention rumours.........I hope he’s just clutching at straws
Skys "team" always mention rumours christ on a bike they had warrington all but relegated before the Leigh game, this after one match.

Zak has played well but it's to early to say he deserves the spot of the season, especially when French for better or Worse was our main focus of attack from FB.
Did Zak say he was full back for 4 weeks before Leigh match or did I hear it wrong

What this thread shows, if we didn't know it already, is how we all see different things in a match.

Some maybe watch and confirm their own prejudices (Matty Smith suffered from this, he was slagged off even when he was MoM). Others criticise players who seem to be doing exactly what the coach asked. "He needs to offload more", but we outperform Wire who do many more offloads than us - surely that's the coach's choice?

Against Wakey, I thought Byrne looked a better player than we saw last season. He looked hungry for work and hit the line at speed. He looks bigger than Partington, Smithies or Havard, and I see potential for him to join Singo and Bullock as true front row men. Others saw a poor performance :?

My men of the match (difficult to choose between them) would be Hardaker, Bibby, Isa, Faz and Partington.

Like with Byrne, I see early signs of Partington kicking on from a good 2020 season with a couple of lovely short passes to other forwards. A 21st century Brian McTigue or Douggie Laughton?

These are two reasons not to trust people.

What does that have to do with it, French was on extended leave course we would have someone standing in at fullback to train.

Was waiting for this & as soon as Chester starts coming out with this sort of stuff, & he always does regularly when he loses, mentions the disciplinary, the disciplinary are then gonna double, triple, quadruple etc be looking at this, which imo was an innocuous tackle & every other Wigan Warriors player!
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Perhaps Chester should concentrate on getting a win sometime soon instead of moaning, quite how hes still in a job is beyond me as that team doesn't seem to be listening to him anymore.

Chester obviously wasnt watching the same game as me.......Isa’s tackle was 100% accidental...... Fifita was at it all night and never even got a caution as far as im aware
IF YOU STRIKE ME DOWN I WILL BECOME MORE POWERFUL THAN YOU CAN POSSIBLY IMAGINE
