Fair one, we'd have to go back a long way....

I'll tempt fate and predict

Hardaker?
Hanley
Jake Bibby
Oliver Gildart
Liam Marshall
Hastings
Leuluai
Bullock
Powell
Byrne
Isa
Farrell
Partington

Smithies
Havard
Smith
Kai Pearce-Paul
I'll have a go

1. Bibby
2. Hanley
3. Isa
4. Gildart
5. Marshall
6. Hastings
7. Smith
8. Bullock
9. Powell
10. Havard
11. Farrell
12. Smithies
13. Partington

14. Leuluai
15. Byrne
16. Pearce-Paul
17. Clark/Shorrocks

Lam just doesn't have faith in Hanley at full back - so no reason for him to change now. Leuluai is a hooker (said this for a year now) and should inter-change with Powell. We need Clark to show something and recalling him at such a short notice that he had was was unfair on him to expect anything less than the excuses often trotted out for other players making the same mistakes week after week
I'm a better fan than you
Because I don't "Boo"!!!

Yes I bloody know transfer fees do not count on the salary cap for those illiterates that need it explaining to them because they assume everyone is as thick as they are

Fate has bitten already with Hardaker's injury . :|

I'd go with Hanley at FB, he has experience there and picking someone else hasn't worked.

Jake Bibby
Oliver Gildart
Isa
Liam Marshall
Hastings
Leuluai
Bullock
Powell
Byrne
Pearce-Paul
Farrell
Partington

Although I think Hanley should be given a shot at FB if Lam isn't going to do it, then maybe try Smith there?

He seems okay at joining the line at the right point, runs good lines and isn't above trying that bit of maveric play.

Not to say he is a good choice there but Has to be better than Marshall or Hastings.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

I’d be tempted to throw Smith at fullback and give him a run there and see what happens.

As for the injuries and general weakness of the side for me you have to go back to the 2017 season that season was post WCC a slog of poor form and young lads being brought through much like this one.

Shame about Widdop on the one hand he’s a player I enjoy watching but glad he’s out injured for the same reason as he could have run riot on Wednesday but we shall see

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Gildart named at full back with Isa and Farrell back in the centres

You can be quite vulgar at times Meds!

Maybe because he’s not being played in his natural position of fullback!

The other backs can help to protect him if need be, they shield whoever has a high bomb coming at them any other time. Give the lad a chance!
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
