Agreed that we weren't great, but a much improved performance - encouraging. Superb commitment all round, which definitely gives us hope.

Jon Wells said last week that confidence would build once we got a try or two, and I think/hope we saw the start of that tonight.

Singo was my MoM by a mile. I thought Smith played well, so too Faz (as always). Halsall was outstanding in the first half. Hasting's his usual high standard. Gildart justified his selection, Hardaker tried without doing anything outstanding, as did Bibby, Shorrocks and most others.

Discipline still a problem - usual suspects. Lowest ranking to Bullock for dropped balls and pretty ineffective alongside Singleton's effort.

Cas were poor, but imo it shows that the number of games played has affected all teams - see Leeds' and Hull's results tonight.

Bring on the Wire!

I was just going to say, Williams hasn't shown much, and then he came up with an assist, and a good try a few minutes later! Without making any great claims, though, this is a vastly better quality contest than Cas/Wigan.

Because any further interaction between league and RU is only ever going to be to their advantage.
