Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: Jake Bibby
There were plenty doubts and "not Wigan standard"-type comments about Jake at first. He now mostly goes under the radar, which means he's doing ok.
He's the sort of player who gets described as "solid" and "reliable" - every team needs them. The showy type of players would make a poor team if you fielded 13 of them!

I agree, but never a winger in the memory of man.
Re: Jake Bibby
Not as their first choice player they don’t. The comments about not being Wigan standard still apply. He’s a very average player and the fact he’s a first team regular is a great illustration of the lack of quality in our squad.morley pie eater wrote:There were plenty doubts and "not Wigan standard"-type comments about Jake at first. How does he compare to Tom Davis for example? He doesn’t and would not be on any top teams shopping list as a starting player yet here he is, ever present in our team because we have no one better.
Re: Jake Bibby
Can't disagree, but I wouldn't sack him for that; he is far from being our biggest weakness.

He’s not a centre either as he can’t passCharriots Offiah wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 12:54 am I agree, but never a winger in the memory of man.

Good finisher, some solid runs in own half but that’s his limit. Shocking in the air.

The achievement is not getting injured. It’s a tough sport and we have had a lot of games in short periods recently.pedro wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 3:54 amjosie andrews wrote: ↑Tue Sep 21, 2021 7:36 amWell done Jake, that is some achievement!Mr reliable
